An improved swinging door trending (SDT) compression algorithm based on the tolerance dynamic adjustment

Abstract: An improved swinging door trending (SDT) compression algorithm has been proposed, and its tolerance was changed dynamically by the standard deviation of the two compression intervals in order to improve the compression ratio. Furthermore, the original data point which had a great influence on the accuracy of compression in the compression interval was recorded in order to reduce the compression error. The application results of this algorithm indicate that the compression ratio was increased by 0.10% and the compression accuracy was increased by 56.7% compared with the standard SDT algorithm.
