Controllable preparation of nano-particles of hydroxyapatite

Abstract

In this study, hydroxyapatite nano particles were controllably synthesized in an aqueour solution system, in which calcium nitrate and diammonium hydrogen phosphate were used as precursors. The effects of pH value, aging time, reaction temperature, sintering temperature, Ca-P mole ratio, the way and the rate of addition of the reactants on the particle size, particle size distribution, purity and crystalline were studied. The simplest way to realize the controllable preparation of hydroxyapatite nano-particle was found out.
