Design of a novel mechanism for tire inner mould directpressure vulcanization

Abstract

A new type of tire inner mould directpressure vulcanization technology has been proposed, and the necessary tire inner mould directpressure vulcanization equipment was designed. By utilizing the rigid inner mould directpressure mechanism to replace the curing bladder of the central mechanism, the heating of the tire cavity depends on electromagnetic induction. The key component is the inner mould directpressure mechanism and, based on its structural characteristics and working principles, the equations of geometry and motion were established. Dimensional design of the inner mould directpressure mechanism was carried out. In addition, in order to improve the structure of the inner mould directpressure mechanism and give sufficient strength during vulcanization, the structure analysis module of Abaqus was used to analyze the strengths of the mechanism. Finally, an optimum scheme was obtained.
