A new accounting system for campus network based on transparent gateway was designed and implemented. It comprises the following three servers in physical: the transparent gateway server, web server, and the database server. Six software modules are installed in these servers to cooperate them for implementation of the network accounting based on the transparent gateway together. It has the following characters: user oriented accounting, user transparence and quick forwarding speed. Finally, through the test of the system in wide-band and large-scale network,it demonstrates the system has a stable and fast-speed performance.
