Blends of Poly[3,3-bis(chloromethyl) oxetane] (Penton) with chlorlprene rubber (CR), Penton with nylon-6 (PA6), Penton with chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and Penton with POM were prepared and their mechanical properties and micro morphology were characterized by using the technique of impact tests, tensile tests and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the toughness of product was improved. The notched impact strength of blend Penton/CPE increased more than thirty times compared with pure CPE resin. So the method is considered as a good way to develop the supertoughened Penton blend.
