Stress analysis of the seismic response of an isolation storage tank with a volume of 20000 m3
The influence of isolation frequency and damping ratio on the seismic response of an isolation storage tank with a volume of 20000 m3 under both anchored and unanchored conditions is investigated using the finite element analysis (FEA) program ANSYS. Additionally, the isolation effect is estimated under the maximal stress in order to identify the optimal isolation frequency and damping ratio.
