The synthesis of stone consolidation2polysiloxane and the result s of protesting test s were reviewed.According to the reasons of deterioration and the weathering conditions of the stone provided by the palace museum , methyt riethoxysilane and ethylsilicate were chosen as monomer , and several properties were tested. The result s indicated that the consolication can st rengthen the stone and had good protesting properties.
